Bee Hive Village building A has been blessed to have Mrs. Charlotte Bostick be a member of our Beehive Family since June of 2012. Mrs. Charlotte was born in Kansas City Missouri on December 24th 1923. Mrs. Charlotte was married to her sweetie in April 1942 and they were together for 61 amazing years, they had 4 children, 8 grand children and 4 great grand children!!
Mrs. Charlotte has always had a very active social life and loves to entertain her close net group of friends and family she loves to read and do cross word puzzles as well as yoga and Tai Chi. Mrs. Charlotte shares her room with her very loved dog Butters. We at Beehive Village want to say “We love you Mrs. Charlotte and we are glad you are part of our Hive”
A Special Assisted Living Visit From Santa
Greetings!
In the building of the empire that has become my world, I often find myself in the workings of development and growth. I miss the special moments and events of what really matters in owning Bee Hive homes, that is caring for our residents, making their lives the very best, so I decided to play the role of Santa Clause for our homes.
The first home was to be the Memory Loss home at San Pedro, a group of pre-school children arrived minutes before Santa and Angel had escorted them into the home along with their Moms to sing. Knowing them to be just inside on the other side of the door I came and cried out Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas, it’s Santa Clause. The shrills began and I busted through the door crying out it’s Santa Clause. The next few minutes were pure emotion and unbridled passion for the character that is Santa Clause. One little boy unaccompanied by mom was jumping up and down uncontrolled, so cute filled with such hope and faith.
After calming the excitement, I made my way through the home, visiting each resident. I found acceptance, big smiles and felt love, once again toward and for Santa Clause. One resident said,”Oh Santa It’s so good to see you I did not think I would make it another year.” There were a few tears, some being my own, as the residents found joy in being visited by the man in the red suit.
In the moments I visited the residents the children and their Moms waited for the opportunity to sing, so as I was about to leave Santa announced that he was going to hug all the little people, some broke rank and came rushing into Santa’s arms, I told each one that Santa loved them and in a few moments we had made the rounds to all the children. Oh that you and I had such faith and love in the Christ child that is embodied in the Character of Santa Clause.
That day I made my way to nine homes, every resident and was renewed in the goodness of people being Children of our Heavenly Father who have a great capacity to love and need to be loved.
I am renewed in my gratitude to care for our residents in such a way that gives them a quality of life that reasons echo that life is good and there is purpose in the reality of growing old.

“Mom has been under the care of Beehive Homes for approximately 6 months. I thought that our relationship was never going to be the same again. I thought I lost the Mom I knew through her strokes. I have witnessed much improvement. We have visits now and we laugh and have a good time.
I think much of it comes from the care of those at this home. They treat each resident as though it were their own parent. This removes the stress of parent/child care. I cared for Mom for 1 1/2 yrs. in my home. I could no longer lift her and she was angry all the time. She is now exercising and making things in craft classes and each visit we have something to share. This is a great facility and I am happy that there are so many that truly care for my Mother. For the Elderly, There’s No Place Like a Bee Hive Homes
Bee Hive Homes is the newest assisted-living facility in Santa Fe. Like Santa Fe, Bee Hive Homes is a unique place to live. The company got its start in 1987 when Twayne Walker, company founder and a builder by trade, couldn’t find an acceptable place for his elderly mother to live. Her needs had surpassed his ability to care for her. At that time, many assisted-living facilities did not provide a pleasant atmosphere where residents could live happily. 64th Wedding Anniversay @ Beehive Village
We had a wonderful celebration with Steve and Marny Cooper who celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary this past week at the Beehive Village in Albuquerque. What an awesome event to be a part of. Angel, the administrator at this location, cooked them a gourmet meal which they enjoyed together in a romantic atmosphere. We want to congratulate Steve and Marny on this momentous occasion.
They also enjoyed lunch with family and celebrated with an anniversary cake.
