About BeeHive Homes Assisted Living
BeeHive Homes of Henderson is owned by Frank and Marsha Jefferies, long-time Henderson residents. Frank and Marsha moved to Henderson in 1978. A former kindergarten teacher, Marsha saw the need for a preschool program and opened Marsha’s Mini-School/Coyote Kids. She has successfully operated that business for 33 years with locations in the Paradise Hills and GreenValley areas of Henderson. “Miss Marsha” feels privileged to have taught thousands of young children in the Henderson area.
Because of her love for children and the elderly, it has been a life-long dream to construct a senior care facility, where seniors and children can have the opportunity to interact. The land adjacent to Coyote Kids on Mission Drive and Greenway proved to be an ideal location to build a senior care facility. The Jefferies are excited to have the ability to integrate these two populations, bringing joy to the seniors and provide an opportunity for the children to build relationships with the elderly, since so many children live away from their real grandparents. Using the side-by-side properties, senior residents will be able to watch the children in outdoor play. Activities such as gardening can be shared. Children can visit frequently, bringing their zest for life and filling the home with laughter and music. What great therapy for both generations!
