Q. What is our monthly room rate?

A. The rate depends on the level of care that is needed. We do an initial evaluation for each potential resident to determine the level of care needed. The monthly rate is based on this evaluation. There are no hidden costs or fees.

Q: Can residents stay in Beehive Homes until the end of their life?

A. Usually yes. There are exceptions, such as when there are safety issues with the resident or they need 24 hour skilled nursing services.

Q: Does Beehive Homes admit residents that can’t walk?

A. Yes. If you can support yourself to transfer to a wheelchair or can walk with the help of a walker or cane, you are great for our homes. Unfortunately we cannot accept residents who are completely bed-ridden.

Q: Does Beehive Homes admit wheelchair patients?

A: Yes, Beehive Homes admits residents that require the use of wheel chairs.

Q: Do we have a nurse on staff?

A: No, but each Beehive Home has a consulting Nurse available 24 – 7. if nursing services are needed, a doctor can order home health to come into the home.

Q: What are Beehive Homes’ visiting hours?

A: Visiting hours are adjusted to accommodate the families and the resident’s needs… just not too early or too late

Q: Do we allow pets?

A: Maybe. Appropriately sized animals are permitted as long as the resident can manage the pet’s needs independently. The pet must be cleared by a veterinarian and the administrator.

Q: Does Beehive Homes admit residents that are smokers?

A: Yes, but smoking is not allowed in the facility. Each home has designated smoking areas. Our home is smoke free inside for the saftey and comfort of our residents and staff.

Q: Does Beehive Homes admit Alzheimer residents?

A: Yes, Lower level Alzheimer and Dementia residents are admitted to Beehive Homes and more advanced cases are admitted in to one of our secure Alzheimer’s/Memory Loss Homes.

A: Yes, Residents are encourage residents to continue to be as involved as they like with their local family members. We coach the family with regard to medication administration and other special needs of the resident that they may be unfamiliar with when a resident leaves the facility for any period of time.

Q: Do we take couples?

A: Yes, each home has rooms designed to accommodate couples.

Q: Do we have an activities program?

A: Yes. Daily activities are offered. We involve many music and social groups, church and youth groups. We have arts, crafts, cooking, games, outings, picnics and can accommodate resident’s likes and pastimes.

Q: Does Beehive Homes have a pharmacy that fills medication?

A: Yes, Beehive Homes works with 4Care for residence on automatic refills of maintenance medications and other pharmacy partners to fill emergency medications. Beehive Activities

Q: Do we have cable TV or Dish Network?

A: Yes. Included in monthly rent.

Q: Do we have internet access?

A: Yes. Included in monthly rent.

Q: Does Beehive Homes have church activities?

A: Yes, Beehive Homes accommodates all denominations in the homes.

Q: Can residents bring their own furniture?

A: Yes. We encourage residents and their families to personalize their rooms with their own furnishings.

Q: Does Beehive Homes provide Ensure?

A: No, Each Beehive Home prepares all meals via certified dietician approved menus specializing in diabetic, sodium, and other dietary needs.

Q: Does Beehive Homes provide Depends?

A: No, but we can purchase them from a supply company at a significant discount. Rental fees provide for everything except persBeehive Furnishingsonal needs including clothing and medications.

Q: Does Beehive Homes serve diabetic meals?

A: Yes, Beehive Homes’ menus specialize in diabetic needs.

Q: Does Beehive Homes manage medications?

A: Yes, Each home monitors and assists with medications according to the individual states regulations.

Q: Does Beehive Homes admit incontinent patients?

A. Yes. Sometimes these people need extra care and supplies to keep them clean and dry. We complete an initial resident evaluation and then set the price per month for what they require to make sure they get personalized care.

Q. Do we have private phones?

A. Yes, every room is equipped with private phone connections. Cost of phone service is the responsibility of the resident.

Q. Do we take blind or deaf residents?

A. Yes

Q. Do we provide daycare or respite care?

A. Yes. We provide both and find that this is and should be an excellent introduction to our home in the event that more permanent arrangements are needed later.

Q: Does Beehive Homes take Veterans Benefits?

A: Yes, we accept Aid & Attendance through Veteran’s Affairs.

Q: Does Beehive Homes take Medicare?

A: No, Medicare is a Federal program.

Q: Does Beehive Homes take Medicaid?

A: No, Each state has its own qualifications and what funds are available.
