Alisha Hamblin, Food Services Director
“Food should be beautiful as much as it should be flavorful!”
Flavor and flair have always been a part of the cook in Alisha. She sees creating meals as bringing out the beauty in food with lots of love and a little art. Her mentor taught her that hard work and patience at working gave a payoff much greater than the effort. Alisha never cared for restaurant work as it felt like “conveyor belt food service.” She focuses on family-style food service and finds satisfaction in the positive impact to the daily lives of the residents she serves. The last 25 years of her life have been dedicated to the elderly. What a great generation to spoil! Alisha’s flair for the art of cooking creates comfort for those that might have difficulty with senses like vision and taste.
“To say I love my job is an understatement. I may wear the same uniform, come to work at the same place, but every day to me is different. Every morning as I’m on my way to work, I think to myself, ‘I can’t wait to see what I create today!’”
