At BeeHive Homes of Draper, our priority is ensuring that our residents are well cared for, comfortable, and happy. Staying active both physically and mentally is crucial for maintaining an elevated quality of life. We plan a calendar of activities for our residents, and provide them with a variety of different options. We also make an effort to regularly update and rotate the types of activities provided to keep things interesting for everyone. Activity options include those for both individuals or groups, allowing a level of choice and personalization tailored to your loved one’s preferences. Physical activities like gardening, visiting other residents, or going on local excursions help residents keep their bodies strong and healthy, and events and social activities help residents keep their minds sharp and their spirits high. We even provide a secure porch and courtyard to enjoy time outside, and a hair and nail salon for the residents who enjoy a bit of beauty and pampering.
In our continued efforts to make our facilities feel like the next best thing to our residents’ real homes, our dining rooms have been designed to feel like a dining room in a residential home. Mealtime should be an enjoyable daily event that everyone looks forward to, from enjoying the delicious, dietitian-approved food prepared by our food services director, Alisha Hamblin, to participating in stimulating and fun conversation and socialization. Residents also have access to the kitchen between meals so that they can enjoy dietitian-approved snacks and beverages.
Residents’ rooms are furnished and include private bathrooms and cable TV, with utilities fees included in the room pricing. There is a personal AC and heating unit in each room that the resident can customize to their preferred temperature, 24-hour security and call systems, and phones. While the rooms are furnished, we do encourage residents to bring their own furniture and décor to make their room feel like home, and we even provide couples’ rooms.
