Bob and Janet Montgomery

In 1997, Bob and Janet became associated with BeeHive Homes as Owners/Operators of three assisted living facilities in southwest Utah.  It truly became a family-owned and operated enterprise with Bob and Janet running a business that was 24/7.  Three of their four sons worked with them, first doing lawn care and housekeeping, and eventually progressing to resident care.  One of their sons continues to work with them as the administrator of their newest home in Florida.

Bob has been in the health care arena since 1977, starting out as a respiratory technician.  While working at two different hospitals, first in Salt Lake City and then in San Antonio, he earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science (University of Utah), and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration (Texas State University).  Being drawn to the world of gerontology, Bob was the administrator of four nursing and rehabilitation centers in Texas, Kansas, and Utah. He was drawn to the assisted living model, as he came to know it would afford more dignity and quality of care for the aging population.

The purchase of Beehive Homes of Lynn Haven in the Panama City, Florida area occurred in 2018.   As Janet’s roots are in the Florida panhandle, it was like coming home.  Janet is our Activities Director and Bob works daily assisting the administrator.

Spencer Montgomery

Spencer grew up with parents who owned and operated BeeHive Homes in southern Utah. Even as a toddler, he grew to love and interact with residents, and they loved him. From an early age, he desired to work for BeeHive and pursued that course in college. He lived in Uruguay for two years, and upon his return, he completed his degree at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, in Hotel, Resort and Hospitality Management. He was first the administrator of BeeHive Homes of Cedar City, and is now the administrator of BeeHive Homes of Lynn Haven in Florida.

He and his wife, Shealeen currently live on the sandy shores of Panama City Beach, Florida, with their two golden doodles, Opal and Fig, and Queso, their cat.
