If you come to visit our hive, you may recognize a familiar face. Home grown in the Mesquite area, Amanda Sepulveda, formally known as Nieves, has planted her roots with this community. Mesquite is the place she is happy to call home. If there is one thing Amanda is passionate about it’s home. Growing up Amanda always found herself looking to not only belong, but help others belong. That mentality has stuck with her, pushing her to pursue a career in long term care. Spending 7 years in skilled nursing and spending the last 6 months transitioning into assisted living, her passion for giving residents the sense of belonging and the feeling of home has only grown stronger. Amanda doesn’t like to look at this as her job, it’s so much bigger than that. Beehive is our resident’s home. She keeps the perspective of, “How would we like to be treated in our home,” “How would we like someone to act in our home?” It’s with that mindset that she plans to enhance the lives of our residents, staff, and their families.
Family is where Amanda’s heart resides. Having a husband, 3 children of her own, and 1 bonus child, you could say that the one thing she never runs short on is love. It’s with that love she blends both home and her career. She enjoys making the most out of life by making all the memories she can; whether that be by taking silly pictures, cracking jokes, dancing, cinematic adventures, learning something new, and trying everything at least once.
From being a part of the Mesquite’s Veteran’s Day Parade each year, that her late Father founded, to speaking out on local injustices at City Council meetings, she will never shy away from supporting those entrusted in her care. Being the Designated Manager of BeeHive Homes of Mesquite, Amanda is looking forward to immersing herself deeper into the community she loves and has called home nearly all of her life
