Memory Care
Our memory care services are focused on assisting loved ones who are suffering from memory impairments. We develop a range of activities and programs intended to stimulate and support cognitive health whilst still being enjoyable for them. We utilize a person-centered care approach to individualize care plans to meet the needs of the resident. We assess residents not only when they join the BeeHive family but also on a regular basis to determine their changing needs.

About BeeHive Homes of Elk River
Our current owner Dennis Chuba's late wife Marilyn Van Patten brought our home to life right in the town of Elk River. The parcel of land was initially slated for a town-home development and when that fell through, Marilyn tried to sell the land but no buyer came. Marilyn knew that Elk River was in great need for memory care housing and she was interested in it, this is how BeeHive Homes of Elk River started. Marilyn said she had one primary hope for this home: "I hope that it will give people the peace of mind that their family is being taken care of with the best possible care that they can have." BeeHive Homes of Elk River is a 20 apartment with up to 24 bed memory care facility. BeeHive Homes of Elk River opened in September of 2017 and has been serving the community since then.

Private/Semi-Private Rooms
Each Private/Semi-Private Suite has its very own bathroom. Every bathroom has an ADA shower, for ease of bathing with a shower bench included.
Meals
At BeeHive Homes of Elk River, we strive to provide and meet all of our resident's dietary needs and preferences by partnering with groves menu to create our custom dining experience. It should be noted that all meals are dietician approved.
24-Hour Staffing
At BeeHive Homes of Elk River, we strive to have quality caregivers on site to assist with Activities of Daily Living and care needs around the clock.
Daily Light Housekeeping and 2x per week Laundry Services
All housekeeping services are provided for our residents. We strive to provide a weekly deep clean of each apartment and complete daily light housekeeping tasks. We offer laundry services 2x per week for personal clothing and weekly for bed linens. Laundry can be completed as needed as well. We take pride in providing a safe and clean living environment for our residents.

Frequently Asked Questions
The rate depends on the level of care that is needed. We do an initial evaluation for each potential resident to determine the level of care needed. The monthly rate is based on this evaluation. There are no hidden costs or fees.
Usually yes. There are exceptions, such as when there are safety issues with the resident, or they need 24 hour skilled nursing services.
No, but each BeeHive Home has a consulting Nurse available 24 – 7. if nursing services are needed, a doctor can order home health to come into the home.
Visiting hours are adjusted to accommodate the families and the resident’s needs… just not too early or too late.
Yes, each home has rooms designed to accommodate couples. Please ask about the availability of these rooms.
