At BeeHive Homes of Frisco, assisted living is built for seniors who value their independence but want a hand with some of the activities of daily living. Rather than a large institutional facility with long corridors and hundreds of residents, our Frisco community is a residential home. Residents keep their own private room, their own routines, and their own preferences, with trained caregivers close by twenty-four hours a day.
That difference in scale changes everything about how care feels. In a smaller home, caregivers learn who takes coffee before anything else in the morning, who wants to be left alone until the crossword is finished, and who lights up when there is music playing. Care stops being a schedule applied to a stranger and becomes something closer to how family looks after family.

Assisted living bridges the gap between living fully independently and needing constant skilled nursing. Our residents manage much of their own day and receive respectful help with the tasks that have grown harder. Every resident receives:
⏰ 24-hour support: trained caregivers are on site day and night, so help is available at three in the morning just as it is at three in the afternoon.
🛏️ A private bedroom with a private bath: each room has its own full bathroom with an ADA-accessible shower, so no one shares facilities or waits for a turn.
💊 Medication monitoring and documentation: basic medication management is handled through our preferred pharmacy, with doses tracked and recorded.
🥗 Home-cooked, dietitian-approved meals: three meals a day plus snacks, served family style around a shared table.
👕 Housekeeping and laundry services: weekly housekeeping and laundry are included in the monthly rate.
🎨 Social activities and daily exercise: opportunities for physical and mental engagement built into every day.
A house physician visits the community two to three times a week, and we coordinate care with each resident's own physician, pharmacist, and therapists so that everyone involved is working from the same picture.
Some residents need more medical support than traditional assisted living provides but do not want to move into a nursing home. Our dedicated high acuity building exists for exactly that situation. Residents who need help with Hoyer lift transfers, insulin management, feeding tubes, or oxygen can be cared for there by staff trained in high acuity care, with a registered nurse on call around the clock.
This matters more than families expect at first. One of the most painful patterns in senior living is the second move: a resident settles into a community, forms relationships, and then declines slightly and is told the community can no longer meet their needs. Because our Frisco campus includes high acuity care alongside standard assisted living, many residents whose needs increase can receive more support without starting over somewhere unfamiliar.
There is rarely a single moment that makes the decision obvious. More often families notice a pattern building over months. The signs that most often bring families to us include:
If several of these sound familiar, it is usually worth starting the conversation early rather than waiting for a crisis. Families who tour before an emergency almost always make a calmer, better decision than families choosing from a hospital discharge planner's list on a Friday afternoon.
Days here are meant to feel like home rather than an itinerary handed down from above. Residents wake on their own rhythm and come to breakfast when they are ready. Mornings often bring light exercise, conversation in the living room, or a visit to our on-site hair and nail salon. Lunch is served family style, and afternoons might hold a life enrichment activity, time in the secure outdoor courtyard, a favorite program on cable television, or simply a nap in a familiar chair.
Evenings wind down with dinner together and quiet time. Throughout it all, caregivers are present without hovering, offering reminders and a steadying hand where it helps and stepping back everywhere else. Residents participate in as much or as little as they like; nobody is marched to an activity they would rather skip.
Every prospective resident receives an initial assessment before move-in. Rather than guessing, we score functional abilities across specific areas: dressing, grooming, using the bathroom, eating, ambulation, transferring, and bed mobility. Cognitive function is taken into account as well. That assessment produces the personal care package and the monthly rate, and it is revisited on an ongoing basis as abilities change.
The practical benefit for families is that nobody is paying for support their loved one does not need, and nobody is quietly going without support they do need. You can see the room layouts that pair with each care level on our floor plans page.
Our monthly rates are all inclusive and based on the assessed level of care, so care, meals, utilities, telephone, cable television, public Wi-Fi, housekeeping, laundry, and activities are covered together rather than billed as a growing list of add-ons. There are no hidden costs or surprise fees. Current rates are published in the pricing and packages section of our main page so you can compare honestly before you ever pick up the phone.
Touring several communities blurs them together quickly, so it helps to carry the same questions into each one. We would encourage you to ask us, and everyone else you visit:
Our home sits on Timber Ridge Road in Frisco, convenient to families throughout Collin County and the wider north Dallas area, including Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Little Elm, The Colony, and Allen. Staying close matters more than families expect. Short drives mean more frequent visits, and residents who see their families often settle in faster and stay more engaged.
Families arrive in different circumstances, so we offer a full range of care in one community. Learn about our memory care for residents living with dementia, short-term respite care, day-to-day elderly care, and our broader approach to senior care. You can also watch our assisted living videos or browse floor plans before visiting.
The only way to truly know whether a community fits your loved one is to walk through the front door. Call BeeHive Homes of Frisco at 469-353-8232 to schedule a tour, ask about current availability, or simply talk through what your family is facing. There is no pressure in a conversation.
