A Different Kind of Memory Support in San Antonio | ![]() |
When families begin searching for memory care options in San Antonio for their elderly loved ones that they can truly stand behind, they’re often looking for something more than just a facility—they’re looking for a place to call HOME. Memory loss can feel like a slow goodbye, but at BeeHive Homes of Crownridge, we believe it doesn’t have to mean the end of living fully.
We’re not a memory care facility, and we don’t aim to be. While many traditional settings can feel clinical or impersonal, our goal is different. We’ve created a real home—warm, familiar, and calm, where residents feel safe, seen, and part of a family. What we offer instead is something more personal: a small, licensed assisted living home in northwest San Antonio that understands the needs of older adults with memory challenges.
Here, folks who may be forgetful, need help staying oriented, or experience sun downing still enjoy dignity, comfort, and connection, without the restrictions of a locked ward. If your loved one does not wander or present a risk for elopement, and you're searching for care that truly feels like home, BeeHive Homes of Crownridge might be just the place you've been hoping to find.
We’re family-owned and family-run, and that changes everything.
The Sikora family lives and breathes this work. With years of hands-on experience and a personal investment in every resident’s wellbeing, they’ve shaped BeeHive Homes of Crownridge into something rare—a home that feels as steady and safe as it does warm and welcoming.
Residents live in private suites, enjoy personalized meals made in our open kitchen, and receive individualized care from staff who truly know them. There’s laughter in the living room, familiar smells in the kitchen and dining room, and gentle support behind the scenes.
We take the time to learn your loved one’s story… what calms them, what lifts them, what matters most. This isn’t memory care as usual. It’s personal care with heart, built on trust.
BeeHive Homes of Crownridge is best suited for folks in the early to moderate stages of memory loss—people who are still socially engaged, generally cooperative, and not at risk of flight or harm. They may repeat themselves, confuse time or place, or need reminders for tasks, but they continue to interact with kindness and recognize familiar faces.
These residents thrive in our calm, supportive environment, where every day includes structure, familiar routines, and engaging moments. From puzzles and chair yoga to music therapy and quiet time, we design each day to match the natural rhythm of our residents' minds and bodies.
Every resident at BeeHive Homes of Crownridge receives room & board including a private suite with DIRECTV and WiFi, home-cooked meals and snacks, activities, housekeeping, and laundry services in addition to a custom care plan, shaped by an initial assessment and updated as needs change. Here’s how we meet a variety of care needs:
🟢 Basic Care covers help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, and taking medications. Many residents fall into this level while maintaining some independence.
🟠 Major Care is for residents who need more hands-on support due to memory loss and/or medical issues. This may include specialized engagement, redirection, incontinence, high fall risk, difficulty feeding themselves, or progressive conditions like Parkinson’s.
🔴 Total Care is reserved for current residents who decline to the point of needing two-person transfers, a Hoyer lift, or become bedbound. We’re able to continue to support these residents if they do not pose safety risks to themselves or others.
For the safety and peace of all residents, we’re not the right fit for those with active wandering or elopement risk, aggressive or combative behavior, smoking habits, or pets.
We're growing, and not just in size. Our new Crownridge expansion, opening in early 2026, is designed with the same cozy feel, calm flow, and personal care approach that families already love. This addition will open new suites and spaces for incoming residents and allow us to welcome more individuals who might otherwise face long waitlists for compassionate, non-institutional care. Rooms will book quickly as we get closer to opening.
We often meet families who waited until things became unmanageable at home. The truth is that earlier transitions tend to be gentler, more stable, and less traumatic for everyone involved. That’s especially true for folks with memory challenges who benefit from familiarity, consistency, and calm surroundings. If you’re considering a move in the next 6–12 months, now is the time to start the conversation.
If your loved one is starting to forget important steps, showing signs of sundowning, or seems overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks, it may be time to explore the right kind of support. Not a facility. Not a ward. A real home with trained caregivers who understand how memory works, and how to help someone live well even as it changes.
Choosing care isn’t easy. There’s a lot to consider, and even more to feel. That’s why we approach every conversation with patience and honesty. Our job is to help you find the right fit, even if it’s not with us. But if it is, we’ll walk alongside you from the very first tour to move-in day and beyond.
Families often tell us, “It just felt different here.” That’s by design. At BeeHive Homes of Crownridge, you’ll meet caregivers who’ve stayed for years, residents who laugh and share meals like neighbors, and a leadership team who knows every name and every detail. You won’t feel lost in the shuffle. You’ll feel seen.
